Have you ever lost a job or lived pay-check to pay-check? I haven’t, but during the decline of the U.S. economy, I realized that I needed to take control of my personal economy. You see, I was one of the lucky ones, so to speak, in that I didn’t lose my job like many of my friends. Many people who worked for the same company I did for 20 years were being laid off. They were top producers in the company and they were laid off. This happened all around the country. Many people close to me lost their homes because they could not pay their mortgages. I felt helpless because I could not possibly help every single person I knew with financial difficulties.
The state of the economy was also an eye-opener for myself. My only source of income was controlled by someone else. I could have just as easily been the one laid off from my job. So, I set out on a mission to find a way to help the ones I love who were having financial difficulties and to figure out a back up plan for myself. As Harvey Mackey would say, I needed to dig my well before I was thirsty. And, I needed to do it while working full-time and raising a 2-year. During my search, I discovered that one of the easiest and most flexible ways for me, my friends, and my family to start making money quickly was through direct sales and online businesses.
I experimented with many direct sales brands and surrounded myself with highly competent leaders and role models. However, when I read the mission statement for Origami Owl, I knew I was home.
It is also my goal to inspire and empower people of all ages. Connect with me if you would like to be a part of this mission.
